Form Us With Love is a Swedish design studio with a conceptual, clear minimalistic approach, often with an underlying tone of humour. The trio met on a course in product design at Karlmar University, and consists of John Löfgren, Jonas Pettersson and Petrus Palmér. Their spacious studio is located in central Stockholm, and have hosted serveral exhibitions. Product Story

A garage lamp for your living room. Designer group Form Us With Love has given new life to the anonymous construction lamp — a functionally perfected product to be found everywhere; all that was needed was to give it a better appearance.

In 2007, Form Us With Love began working on anonymous lights used in garages and workshops, always handy and within reach in a dirty and greasy environment. Hanging from the ceiling, standing on the floor, or lying on a table.

To bring something in from the garage and put it in a living room, was one thing, but the flimsy steel wire needed some toughness, solidity and more refined angles. The wires were changed from strong black to plated gold and the light naturally mitigated with a dimmer. The result was an everyday do-it-all object using as little material as possible, while still protecting its blue-collar core.

Iron cage, gold plated (24 K) or chrome plated. Black rubber cord with dimmer. Ø 15 cm, H 21 cm (Ø 5.75, H 8.25). Recommended bulb: E27. Halogen Globe Bulb (Art. No. 1633–0000) included.
