Grand opening of Boda Glasbruk AUGUST 15, 2011

On June 18th, the new OPEN store in Boda Glasbruk, along with our new glassware studio Vet Hut and the museum The Glass Factory, was opened. The opening event was very successful and thousands of people had travelled to Boda Glasbruk to be part of the festivities, along with legendary glass designers such as Monica Backström, Bertil Vallien, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien and Kjell Engman. The leader of the Social democratic party, Håkan Juholt, was invited as a guest of honour and opening speaker. Mr Juholt also performed the opening ceremony by cutting a ribbon of melted glass, right from the glassworks. One of Sweden's largest daily newspapers, Dagens Nyheter, covered the event.
