Step wins Wallpaper Design AwardJANUARY 14, 2011 |
| We are proud to announce that Step stepladder by Karl Malmvall was awarded Best housekeeping product at the Wallpaper Design Awards 2011. This year’s edition was the award’s seventh, with a panel of judges including Mario Bellini, Raf Simons, Natalie Massenet, Michael Nyman, Marc Quinn and Pharrell Williams. Karl Malmvall’s idea was to design a stepladder handsome enough to be a piece of furniture, rather than just an utility to be stowed in the closet after use. He even added a hook for placing it on the wall, always within reach: “We have more and more stuff in our homes, electrical gadgets, kitchen appliances, etc. We use our apartments from the floor all the way up to the ceiling.
