Anna Bonnevier’s Silver Dress |
| Once a year, Nordiska Kompaniet has various exquisite objects made in co-operation with selected designers. Anna Bonnevier’s Silverdress was selected for NK’s Limited Edition Autumn 2009, on the theme “Fabulous Creations” (Sagolika Skapelser). Two pieces of the Silverdress go on sale August 27 in Design House Stockholm’s stores in NK Stockholm and NK Gothenburg. For Anna Bonnevier the distinction between art and clothing is irrelevant, as she is constantly moving across the boundaries. In this project, her basic idea was that clothes are the first space the body meets. The Silverdress is therefore an architectural piece, in which there’s a contrast between the hard and metallic elements of the dress and the soft shapes of the body. The Silverdress is exhibited at NK department stores from August 20.
