Margareta Hennix

Margareta belongs to the group of designers that created a host of important design products during the 1960s and 70s. She was educated at Konstfack, University and College of Art, Craft and Design in Stockholm and since then has done a lot of work for the world-famous Gustafsberg porcelain factory. In recent years she has been working in glass for various Swedish glass manufacturers and she recently began developing new glass products for Design House Stockholm. Examples of Margareta Hennix’s work are on display at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. In 1999 Design House Stockholm’s aptly-named ‘Brilliant’ collection of vases and bowls received the Excellent Swedish Design award. Two years later she received the award again, this time for the glasses Brilliant and Bolero, also for Design House Stockholm.
