Research on materials and the ways in which it can unexpectedly drive the productive process is always a crucial aspect of his work, as shown, for example, by Valveola, his ceramic suspension lamp presented at the 2006 Ceramics Biennale of Albissola. His last project has been presented at this year's Milan international furniture show, the Salone, and is now part of the permanent collection of the MAK Museum for applied and contemporary art in Vienna.
